World Cancer Day 2016

A Day to Unite - 4 February 2016

Four of the UK’s leading cancer charities are joining forces for World Cancer Day 2016 to show we can all do something about cancer.

At the heart of saving lives is the research that leads to improved treatments for cancer and we’re proud of the role Wales has in achieving this.

Health and Care Research Wales is making a difference in a number of ways, including:

  • funding a wide-range of organisations and services to make sure that high-quality research is taking place across Wales;
  • supporting public involvement in and engagement with research; and
  • funding research through schemes in Wales and the UK.

Find out more about two of the organisations Health and Care Research Wales funds and how they are making a difference on World Cancer Day 2016.

Wales Cancer Research Centre
