Our vision is for Wales to be internationally recognised for its excellent health and social care research that has a positive impact on the health, well being and prosperity of the people in Wales.
Through our investment in translational research, the work currently underway in experimental and precision medicine is integral to this vision. The strong academic and industrial research base ensures that Wales has an important part to play in the development of therapies and interventions that are targeted and effective and, by doing so promotes joined up working across sectors, smarter use of routine data and an open innovation culture that will benefit the people of Wales.
