National Standards for Public Involvement in Research

The National Standards for Public Involvement in Research are a set of six standards designed to improve the quality and consistency of public involvement in research.

They have been developed by a UK-wide partnership, established in July 2016,  made up of Health and Care Research Wales, the Chief Scientist Office (Scotland), the Public Health Agency (Northern Ireland) and the National Institute for Health and Research (England).

Find out more on our website page. You will also be able to download a copy of the standards in English or Welsh, both available in easy read versions.
