The Stroke Research & Innovation Manager will manage the development and co-ordination of activities of the Stroke Advisory Group, working with research staff based in research centers throughout Wales and with external funding bodies (including Stroke Association, British Heart Foundation, Health and Care Research Wales, etc).
The post holder will be responsible for developing and supporting a strong network of collaborators seeking to improve NHS Wales stroke care via an increase in the quality and quantity of stroke research and innovation being undertaken in Wales. The post holder will seek to build on the expertise of individual group members and help to establish collaborative practices.
Applications are welcomed from those with a strong record of management a research network, preferably but not specifically in an area of clinical science, The post holder will need to demonstrate their skills as a coordinator of people and an ability to provide hands-on, day-to-day advice on setting up, running and monitoring research projects. The post holder must be able to drive the research agenda on behalf of the Network and be able to take personal responsibility for developing aspects of the research portfolio.
