Two opportunities have arisen to join the Centre for Trials Research (CTR) as a research associate, contributing to the delivery of qualitative NIHR funded and other studies.
Both posts require experience in qualitative methods as the researchers will be involved in collecting research data using qualitative methods and taking responsibility for analysis using qualitative methods.
Both posts will involve the researcher working across a number of studies with a qualitative component in a variety of different health care settings. The researcher will collect research data primarily using interviews, focus groups and/or participant observation with patients and health care professionals, and carry out analysis using qualitative methods. Experience of working in a variety of health care settings and of using qualitative methods in a trial environment is desirable. The post holder will need to be able to manage multiple studies and therefore efficient time management, self-motivation, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team is key. Travel for data collection will be required.
