The Centre for Trials research currently have an exciting opportunity for an operations officer who will be highly experienced and knowledgeable in the field of finance/operations, educated to Degree/NVQ 4 level or with equivalent professional membership/experience. The ability to set up standard systems and procedures (and make improvements to them), to be able to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity, analyse complex financial data (to produce reports and model scenarios) and an ability to explore and support customers’ needs and adapt the service accordingly are all essential qualities.

Reporting to the research manager, you will need to demonstrate that you have worked unsupervised to deadlines, planning and setting priorities for your own work and that of others. Demonstrable knowledge of key advances within operations and the ability to communicate conceptually detailed and complex information effectively and professionally are therefore also required. Finally, you should have a willingness to undertake further training and development as required.

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £27,025 to £31,302 per annum

Hours: Part time
