Help set social care priorities for older people

How can we best provide sustainable care and support to help older people live happier and more fulfilling lives?

30 July 2020

Take part in a survey to help decide the most important questions for social care research that will help older people live happier and more fulfilling lives.

Health and Care Research Wales and Social Care Wales recently asked people to share their comments and questions about social care and support for older people in Wales. We did this because we want to find out what research needs to happen to help improve social care and to help older people live happier and more fulfilling lives. Thank you to everyone who sent comments and questions. We have taken all of them into account.

We have summarised the comments and questions that can be answered by research and these are listed in this new survey. We would now like to ask for your help in deciding which questions are the most important.

Please take part in this survey if:

  • You (or someone you care for) are aged 65 or over and have received care or support, whether at home, in a community setting or in a care home.
  • You are a social care practitioner delivering social care and support services to people in Wales aged 65 or over.

Find out more and take part on Survey Monkey.

The deadline to complete this survey is Monday 24 August 2020.

You can also attend a workshop (spread across two days) to help us find out the most pressing concerns, from the perspectives of older people who use social care services and the people who support them.

If you are aged 65 or over, a family member or carer please find out more about the workshop on our current opportunities page.

If you are a social care practitioner delivering social care and support serviced to people in Wales aged 65 or over register your interest for the workshop by completing this form by 20 August 2020.
