Health and Care Research Wales is demonstrating its commitment to research excellence in the NHS by joining the MediWales Innovation Awards 2017 as an Awards Partner.

Health and Care Research Wales has been named as an Awards Partner in the Research Excellence in the NHS Award which will be given out at a special ceremony on December 12 2017, at the National Museum of Wales.

More than 300 VIPs and guests will come together for the awards’ evening to celebrate the achievements of the NHS, life science and health technology communities.

The awards celebrate its 12th anniversary this year and will feature a number of prizes across industry and NHS categories, offering a platform to identify outstanding achievements in the life science sector in Wales.

Carys Thomas, Head of NHS R&D Strategy, at Welsh Government said: “In recognition of the excellent research and development undertaken daily to improve the lives of patients in Wales, Health and Care Research Wales is delighted to be an Awards Partner for the award for ‘Research Excellence in the NHS’.

“We encourage everyone in the NHS involved in patient facing research to apply and look forward to receiving many outstanding applications.”
