Consultation on the UK policy framework for health and social care research

13 January 2016

On 18 December 2015, the Welsh Government, in conjunction with the Health Research Authority and the devolved administrations, launched a public consultation on a new UK policy framework for health and social care research.

The framework sets out the high-level principles of good practice in the management and conduct of research, as well as the responsibilities that underpin high-quality ethical research.

This new policy framework, developed through a UK-wide Steering Group aims to help make the UK an even better place to do research. It is aimed at all those responsible for health and social care research in the UK. When finalised it will replace the current research governance frameworks published by each of the UK health departments.

The consultation document has been published on the Welsh Government website.

Please note the consultation is now closed.
