Why research matters in social care

Why research matters in social care

2 April 2020   |   09:00 - 11:00   |   Carers Trust Wales, Unite Building/Transport House, 1 Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9HA   |   £0.00

Guest speaker, Professor Chris Taylor, Academic Director of Social Science Research Park (SPARK) Cardiff University, will reflect on his experiences of embedding research into practice and why it matters.

Discussion will then be facilitated by Simon Hatch, Director of Carers Trust Wales.

Over Spring / Summer 2020, Carers Trust Wales, a charity that works with, and for, unpaid carers, is hosting a series of events themed around how research, policy and practice can and should work together for people in Wales. What does this look like? What does that mean? What are the challenges?

These events will provide a space for people who work in the spheres of policy, social care, education, healthcare, the third sector and public sector to share and learn together.
