Health and Care Research Wales is seeking input on our ambitions for public engagement and public involvement in health and social care research, set out in our ambitions document – Discover your role in health and social care research.
In addition to an online questionnaire, Health and Care Research Wales is running a series of open invitation events in October, November and December 2019. We are looking for public involvement leads, researchers, service providers, members of the public, third sector organisations and anyone else interested in public involvement and engagement in health and social care research to join our ‘Community of Practice’ workshops, and help plan how we can turn the actions and ambitions outlined in the ‘Discover your Role’ ambitions document into a reality.
The events will be a great chance to work collaboratively to shape the development of Health and Care Research Wales’ public involvement and engagement plans. The events will also offer attendees the chance to share good practice and discuss the challenges and opportunities for public involvement activities in their day to day work.
Each event will focus on two of the four ambitions from the 'Discover Your Role' document, before summarising discussions and looking at practical next steps in the final workshop.
They will be held at the Jurys Inn Hotel in Cardiff City Centre on:
