NEW

Involvement in a one-off meeting looking at decision support packages for women living with an inflammatory illness and wishing to start or expand a family

Deadline: Midday 20 March 2018
Up to six individuals to attend a one-off meeting with researchers to discuss the decision support packages that are currently available to women wishing to start or expand a family. If the project is successful in gaining funding, individuals will be invited to continue to be part of the project .

Involvement in a PhD study looking at women living with an inflammatory illness and support required to start or expand a family

Deadline: Midday 28 February 2018
Up to two individuals to become involved in developing a proposal for the PhD Studentship. Successful individuals would be required to attend two meetings providing comments and feedback on the application. If the project is successful in gaining funding, individuals will be invited to continue to be part of the project.

Become involved in a study looking at improving the patient experience for those being cared for in isolation

Deadline: Midday 27 February 2018
Up to two individuals to become involved in the study development. They will be required to help refine the research question and study design. It is also hoped that they will input and comment on how the research findings should be disseminated and implemented. Individuals will also be invited to become co-applicants on the study and it is hoped that if the study is funded they will continue to be involved in the meetings.

Become a member of the Health and Care Research Wales Funding Board

Deadline: 4pm 13 March 2018
A minimum of two individuals to become part of the Health and Care Research Wales Funding Board. The successful individuals would be required to read and review a number of the applications received and assess the public involvement plans and activity within each of the applications. Become a member of the Health and Care Research Wales Conference 2018 working group

Deadline: Midday 28 February 2018
One individual to become part of the working group. The successful individual will join individuals from the research community to help plan and develop the programme for the 2018 conference. Individuals will be required to attend working group meetings in person with an expectation of carrying out any preparation work via email between meetings. The first meeting is likely to be held in March.

Become involved in a study developing a tool to help nurses recognise adverse drug reactions in older people who take 4 or more medications

Deadline: Midday 23 February 2018
Two individuals will be invited to become part of the study team. They will be required to attend three meetings and will be required to review and comment on the study documentation that will have been sent to them prior to attending the meetings.

Become involved in a study about patients who have undergone surgery for rectal cancer and their views on faecal transplantation

Deadline: Midday 23 February 2018
Up to two individuals to become involved within this study development. Successful individuals would be required to help the team comment on the design of the questionnaire and participant information. They may also be called upon to help design an educational session about faecal transplantation. Reviewing documentation would take place at the University Hospital of Wales if individuals live in SE Wales or, if more convenient, they could comment via email.

Becoming involved in evaluating an assessment tool used by health visitors

Deadline: Midday 1 March 2018
One individual to join representatives on the bid development group. Individuals will assist the study team in how to engage with families during the study process, allowing families that have been assessed using FRAIT to become participants. Meetings will take place monthly whilst developing the grant submission, lasting no more than two hours. Preparation for meetings and commenting on draft proposals will be carried out via email.

Become part of a lay advisory group looking at accurately detecting the infection that causes blood poisoning

Deadline: Midday 28 February 2018
Up to five individuals to become part of a lay advisory group. Successful individuals will be required to attend a meeting every two months, lasting around an hour. Individuals will be required to comment and feedback on lay summaries, writing proposals, content of leaflets and the website. They would also be asked to suggest activities and events for engagement with interested groups. Attendance would be through a mixture of face-to-face, teleconference, Skype and email.
