Current opportunities

Looking for a new opportunity to work with researchers in Wales? The latest opportunities for members of the public are posted below. If you need more information on any of the opportunities, please phone the team on 02920 230457 or email research-involvement@wales.nhs.uk.

If you would like to apply for an opportunity you can submit an expression of interest. Please note you will need to have registered to the involvement community and read the public involvement agreement before expressing your interest.

From 1 April 2019, public involvement opportunities have been advertised in a clearer and more informative way so you can easily decide which opportunity is best for you. You can see, at a glance, which opportunities provide payment for out of pocket expenses and which ones offer payment for time.

If you are in receipt of state benefits please visit our resources page where there is information available on receiving payment for time when on state benefits, including access to a confidential independent helpline.

Involvement opportunities have been sorted into red, blue and green categories. We have developed guidance to help you decide which category of opportunity is best suited to your requirements and experience.

This will not affect any opportunities advertised before 1 April 2019.

A simple printable A4 guide to the three different types of categories (red, blue and green) can be found here.
