Current opportunities

If you would like to apply for an opportunity you can submit an expression of interest. Please note you will need to have registered to the involvement community and read the public involvement agreement before expressing your interest.


Become a member of a study management group 

Deadline: Midday on 28 November 2018

One individual to join the public representative already on the study management group. The successful individual will be required to attend monthly meetings to discuss the ongoing project. Meetings will usually take place on a Thursday and last around one and a half hours. 

Meetings will be held in either Bangor or Wrexham and those living in these areas of North Wales will be invited to attend in person if they wish. Individuals living in other areas of Wales will be invited to join the group via teleconference.


Become involved in a study advisory group

Deadline: Midday on 19 November 2018

Two individuals are required to become members of the study advisory group. Successful individuals will be required to input into this group by providing lived-experience of living with a long-term condition. Individuals will also be asked to help think about the emerging study findings and contribute to discussions relating to how the study is progressing. Meetings will be held in either Bangor or Wrexham and those living in North Wales will be invited to attend in person if they wish. Individuals living in other areas of Wales will be invited to join the group via teleconference. 


Become involved in planning the 2019 public involvement event

Deadline: Midday on 20 November 2018

Three individuals, with varying experience of being involved, are required to become part of the public involvement event task and finish group. The public members would be required to help input into the development of the event(s) that will be held in 2019 by attending task and finish group meetings and carrying out any additional work via email in between meetings.


Become involved in a study that is looking into the management of long-term mental health difficulties together with an end of life diagnosis

Deadline: Midday on 20 November 2018

Two individuals to become members of the MENLOC Stakeholder Advisory Group. Chosen individuals will be required to attend the first meeting in Cardiff on Tuesday 4 December between 12:00-15:00. The project will run for a 15 month period and individuals will be expected to attend three half day meetings over this period, in person.

Individuals on the group will be required to use their lived experience to inform decisions made by the research team and also advise on how to make the research findings accessible.
