Research grant applications made to funding bodies for non-commercial research are expected to include a full assessment of the costs involved in a study in order to determine overall value for money of the proposed research.
This course is aimed at individuals who are involved in writing grant applications, as well as those who support researchers in the development of their research questions, protocols and applications. This includes, but is not limited to: researchers, NHS R&D teams, Clinical Trials Unit teams and delivery teams.
The course will actively discuss the importance of identifying all activities associated with research studies which will incur a cost and how to correctly categorise these costs using the AcoRD policy. It will also discuss the sources of funding for the various activities highlighted.
This course assumes that candidates are familiar with study protocols and have an understanding of the grant application process and research terminology.
Please note a certificate of attendance will only be issued if delegates complete all elements of the training. Times will be confirmed on receipt of the registration form.
