Biography

Professor Adrian Edwards' main research interests are in quality and safety of health care, with current studies on safety in primary care, the epidemiology of harm in secondary care, self-management support in long term conditions, and implementation of shared decision making.

Adrian is Professor of General Practice and Co-Director of the Division of Population Medicine at Cardiff University. He is the Director of PRIME Centre Wales , an all-Wales Centre for Primary and Emergency (including unscheduled research), in partnership with Bangor University, Swansea University and University of South Wales. He is also a part-time general practitioner in Cwmbran, South Wales, and has a visiting professorship at Aarhus University, Denmark. He co-leads the Clinical Epidemiology Route of the intercalated BSc.
